Sardinia Family Holidays
There is a whole host of beaches which, thanks to their sandy stretches and softly sloping shores, are well suited to children and avoid worries for parents. In the south of the island, the best known are Chia and Villasimius/Costa Rei (which number several hotels suitable for family stays) but there is also a wide choice in other parts of the island.
Apart from the best-known beaches, you can stimulate the enthusiasm of the kids by booking a boat trip, perhaps with on-board lunch based on the catch of the day, leading you to the discovery of hidden coves such as Cala Goloritzé, Cala Mariolu or Cala Luna on the central-eastern coast; or of Cala Coticcio and Spiaggia Rosa in the Archipelago of La Maddalena.
During your holiday with the kids you can arrange or participate in excursions to discover the territory, something much appreciated also by younger guests: from the fascinating dunes of Piscinas to the small white donkeys of Asinara; from the rocks in the shape of animals (Roccia dell’Elefante, Roccia dell’Orso) to the small wild horses of the Giara, and so much more.
For the teens, there is also a wide choice of sea-based activities, exploration of the seabed and other activities such as trekking and horse riding.
