It is the only city in Sardinia built on the estuary of a river, the Temo, navigable for about 5-6 kilometres.
Dominated by the castle of the Malaspina, Bosa presents itself as a pretty and romantic town, fascinating in its contrasts of colours, where shades of yellow and indigo of the traditional boats moored at the marina alternate with the pink of the houses in the centre, with the blue of the sea and with the green of the age-old olive trees.
Bosa Marina
Beside Bosa, another area, called Bosa Marina, has developed, which has become a popular tourist destination and seaside location, full of bars, restaurants, craft shops. In Bosa the processing of coral is very common; it’s an ancient tradition which dates back to the XIII century.
