The small town of Santadi lies in southern Sulcis, in the south-west of Sardinia. It is located about 30 km from Iglesias, 70 km from Cagliari-Elmas airport and 20 km from the beach of Porto Pino. Its main attractions include the fascinating caves of Is Zuddas (6 km from the town), its wine-making tradition and its extensive woodlands. Villa Santadi Hotel is located in a dominant, panoramic position in the historic centre of the town.

Obtained from the refurbishment of the old prison, Villa Santadi Hotel is a peaceful, quiet hotel, offering an excellent base for nature and mining heritage tourism which is one of the main attractions of the Sulcis area. With a wide range of itineraries and trails not yet discovered by mass tourism, it is an ideal choice for exploring the distinctive features, history and traditions of this fascinating corner of Sardinia. 

While preserving the structure of the ancient building, the owners have created a fresh and modern ambience, with all the comforts of a 4-star hotel.

Rooms

Located between the ground floor and the first floor, the 13 rooms are divided into several categories according to size and view. The hotel’s total capacity is about 30 guests. The rooms are former prison cells, carefully refurbished and tastefully furnished, with en-suite bathroom and with some details recalling their original use, such as the bars on the windows and the latch on the door.

Reception is open from 16:00 to 24:00

Restaurant

Buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room from 8:00 to 11:00. For lunch and dinner, the staff is happy to recommend the best local restaurants. The closest is just 30 m from the hotel. The hotel also has a small bar.

Services & activities

Small pets are allowed on request, with payment of a € 70.00 supplement for final cleaning. Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the hotel free of charge.
